How To Become A Real Estate Agent In California

Getting a real estate license in California is not a hard process if you study the right material and work a little bit each day. We tell all of our students that getting a license is a three-step process.

  1. 1.) Complete The Required Courses

The state of California has an education requirement for those wanting to obtain a real estate license. The state requires 135 hours of pre-licensing education in order to meet this requirement. The education will consist of three, 45 hour courses. Two of these courses are required. Those are California Real Estate Principles & California Real Estate Practice. The third course is an elective course. We offer seven different elective courses, each with an industry specifc topic. Our California real estate courses are easy to take and fast to complete. You can complete a course in as little as 18 days per course. Once completed, the courses are good for life and every one of our courses can be used towards a real estate brokers license.

  3. 2.) Fill Out The Application

We like to help our students with filling out the application. We provide full support and detailed instructions on how to fill out the application and where to send it. All applicants must get fingerprinted prior to a real estate license being issued. The fingerprinting needs to be sent to the state of California along with your application. We have learned over the years how to get your application processed as fast as possible. We make sure it's done right the first time around.

  4. 3.) Prepare For And Pass The State Exam

The final step in the process is to pass the state exam. No student can expect to pass the state exam based on just completing the courses. The state exam is not easy and you need to be prepared to take it. The state will be testing you on all topics related to the real estate industry, not just the material you completed to meet the education requirement. The state exam consists of 150 questions and you need to pass it with a 70% or better. All state exams are taken at a California testing facility. These facilities are located in Sacramento, Oakland, Fresno, Los Angeles and San Diego. Our exam prep system is THE BEST IN THE STATE and comes with a full 110% money back guarantee. Basically, if you don't pass we pay you! What other school stands behind their product like we do?

What To Do Once Your Are Licensed

For those wanting to be a real estate agent the easiest part of this whole process is getting a job with a brokerage. Most brokerage's will want to hire you as they will make money on your activities and are not limited to how many agents they can employ. Our suggestion is to make sure you contact at least 4-5 different real estate offices and compare what they are offering you. One office will make you one deal and the next office will offer you something else. Make sure you attempt to negotiate with each office to ensure you get the best possible deal for yourself.
